We did a lovely walk on the farm, made a bit more challenging due to the lack of signage. We followed that up with a very good coffee and one of us had a wine tasting which was served with a lovely complimentary cheese and meat board which was a pleasant surprise. However it came with a rather unpleasant surprise at the end when we were informed of a 12% service fee which we were not told about at the outset. We would have been quite happy to give the server a discretionary gratuity, but making it a compulsory 12% left us with a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. Up until then I was thinking of bringing my Private Tour groups to this venue, but had a change of heart. A great pity as it is a lovely venue.

We stopped for a wine tasting but it was so much more.... We really want to return for lunch at restaurant the chef is so excited and proud and the food smells and looks devine. We had real nice tasting with complimentary tasting board with cheese, beef and their own grown almonds. It was such a delight. Our wines arrived home today and we have such pleasant memories. Thanks so much

Had a wonderful wine tasting early on a cool day. Amazing wines, lovely service,it was worth the drive. The kiddies tasting was a hit!

Take a journey away from the masses and visit Vondeling. The tasting room is open standard hours even though there are some stretches without any visitors during the slower, cooler months. Nine wines are offered in two tasting tiers (7 + 2). There are five additional, high-end wines available for purchase sans tasting. You can stretch out with your wine inside or out. Don't miss the huge bunches of wild calla lilies on the road in.

I had the most amazing wedding at Vondeling wine estate - we stayed at the manor house the night before. The house was very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided for us on the morning of the wedding and was absolutely delicious - and there was a lot of it. The venue is exquisite- perfect for a winter wedding. Mariaan and Rikki were phenomenal throughout the planning process and even managed to save the day the evening before by conquering a logistical error that was completely my fault. The staff assisted with the set up and were gracious in answering all my queries and fusses. I had a perfect day and Vondeling played a big part in the days success.
