Fantastic wine and port made with love in a stunning setting. The owner, Peter himself, is hands on daily and ensures fantastic quality. We’ve been back several times and will gladly make the trip again and again.

We stumbled upon Peter Bayly Wined on the way from De Hel to Calitzdorp. We were amazed at this gem just 15 minutes on a scenic dirt road from Calitzdorp. Peter was the perfect host, and we left with some of the best port we have ever tasted as well as feeling somehow richer for being invited into his corner of paradise. Thank you, Peter! I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the vicinity.

Was recommended this off the beaten track winery/port house by a Calitzdorp local. So chuffed we took the drive out to see hands on small scale production of his white and red wines and ports. The wines were delicious and the ports were absolutely outstanding. Peter was inviting and passionate about his product and the area. The farm is a little slice of heaven. Highly recommended. Make sure to call ahead to make sure he is in.
