Cape Dutch homestead and wine estate in Tulbagh
I cannot report on accommodation. All I know is that I find myself at this place frequently to enjoy the garden, the food and wine. One the most beautiful places and a must visit for any one who are into beautiful outdoor and garden settings
What a lovely, magic place! The host was thoughtful and switched the heater on prior to our arrival. The beds were comfortable and all were spotless and clean. We will definitely return.
Montpellier de Tulbagh is a lovely spot with a great atmosphere. The pizza was very good: fresh, well-made, and full of flavor and the wine selection pairs perfectly with the setting. A relaxed, enjoyable experience overall. Definitely worth a visit.
My wife and I got married at Montpellier and returned for a romantic getaway. The booking process was seamless and I got a phone call confirming my reservation. The staff were flexible regarding our arrival time and we were able to spend some time around Tulbagh before checking in. We stayed in the treehouse which was amazing (caution: the steps up to the treehouse are quite steep). We love the rustic look and feel of the treehouse and how simple it is. We went for a lovely walk on the farm and had some of their amazing wine. Thanks again to the staff at Montpellier that make our return to the venue memorable.
We got married at Montpellier and this place and the people will forever have a special place in our heart! We fell in love with this farm from the very first day we set foot here. They are so many different nooks and spots to explore at Montpellier, the staff is incredibly kind and professional, and the many accommodation options allowed us to host almost all of our guests on the farm directly. The venue manager Marica and her team were simply the best at managing every detail for us on the day which gave us great peace of mind. We love and adore the rustic charm of this 300 years old farm and will definitely be back over and over again.
