Wow, what an amazing wine farm. It is hard to describe the feeling however from beginning to end we were blown away. We did not get to do the eco safari however we visited the cellar and it is stunning. I would recommend spending your whole day at Avondale from the eco safari to a tour in the wine cellar and ending it off at Faber for a world class lunch. Do remember it is recommended to prebook the eco safari to secure your spot. SO impressed, a special shout out to Alinda and Amahle who were so professional and knowledgeable.

The six course tasting menu with wine pairing is truly exceptional. The gardens are stunning. This is not one to miss on your visit to South Africa - probably my favourite vineyard experience to date. We especially appreciated Arthur’s service - the level of service was such a highlight of the experience.

Avondale Wine won our hearts with a tour of their winery and a professional presentation by the Marketing Director. During our stay in South Africa, we visited 33 wine estates, and this presentation ranks among the very top — not only because of the expertly organized wine tasting, but also because of the outstanding quality of the wines. We opened our best bottle, the excellent Bordeaux-style Navitas blend, to welcome the New Year in Cape Town. It was absolutely worth it! Avondale Wine is a superb place to understand what true wine tasting in South Africa really is. Thank you, and see you again!

We had a truly memorable visit to Avondale Wines. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, friendly, and made us feel completely welcome. The wines are outstanding — beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and clearly made with passion. The gardens are impeccably kept and add to the peaceful, elegant atmosphere of the estate. The tasting was informative and engaging, and really enhanced our appreciation of the wines and Avondale’s philosophy. An experience we thoroughly enjoyed and will happily return to. Highly recommended.

This is an organic farm which is not very common in SA. What an amazing experience. The food was amazing, the wines were delicious . The gardens were beautiful. The whole experience is recommended.
